世界老虎日！印度老虎保護「12年翻2倍」 全球野生老虎存活就靠牠們！
2020年07月30日7月29日是「全球老虎日」，這是一個了解大貓的絕好契機！據世界自然基金會的最新數據，目前全球野生老虎的數量約為3900隻。雖然現在老虎的數量正在慢慢增多，但老虎仍舊屬於瀕臨滅絕的物種，需要好好保護。
▼印度的老虎保育工作非常值得學習！1973年時，印度啟動「保護老虎」計劃，預計於2022年讓老虎數量增加一倍。剛開始只有9個老虎保護區，現在已經增加到了50個。據統計，2006年到2018年間，印度野生老虎的數量從1411隻增加到2967隻，翻了一倍還要多。

▼保護區內的老虎佔印度全國野生老虎總數的65%，中央邦的老虎最多，約有526隻；其次是卡納塔克邦，約有524隻；北阿坎德邦有442隻。印度是全球生物多樣性最豐富的國家之一，世界上大約70%的野生老虎生活在印度，這是一個很了不起的成就。

▼接下來印度準備與其他12個設有老虎保護區的國家合作，實施多項保護措施。這些國家分別是孟加拉、不丹、柬埔寨、中國、印尼、寮國、馬來西亞、緬甸、尼泊爾、俄羅斯、泰國和越南。
